From spring to early autumn, use a balanced liquid fertilizer every 30 days. The soil must be well drained: a mix of sand and clay-based potting soil is ideal, in a pot with adequate drainage holes. The best time to repot is spring.

Prune the oleander after flowering to maintain its shape and encourage new buds. It is propagated by cuttings, the preferred method, taken in late spring or early summer, or by seed.
